Paul Louis Mathewson, 53, of Buffalo, NY, passed away on October 16, 2023. Born on December 5, 1969, Paul was a beloved husband, brother, father, stepfather, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Annette Mathewson; brother, Kevin Mathewson; two daughters, Courtney Mathewson (Emily Winnek), Casie Mathewson (Russel Leone); stepdaughter, Crystal Meli (Anthony Johnson); and grandchildren, Evelyn Mathewson, Declan Leone, Anthony Johnson Jr., Aliyah Johnson, Terell Johnson, King Johnson, and Ivy Rose Johnson; two dogs, Harley and Remo. Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Mathewson (Heitz); father, Ralph Mathewson; and dogs, Chopper, Toby, and Bailey.

Paul was known for his vibrant personality and his ability to make anyone laugh. He was the guy who knew everyone and could navigate anywhere without needing a map. Paul's career was with the Buffalo Sewer Authority, where he dedicated his time and expertise to serving the community.

In his free time, Paul enjoyed fishing, spending time with his beloved dogs Harley and Remo and wife Annette, driving his corvette, and cooking. His hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to unwind from his busy work schedule.

A celebration of Paul's life will be planned for the spring/summer of 2024. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember the incredible person he was.
