Of Amherst, NY, peacefully on August 15, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Masteralo) Buttino; dearest father of John P. (Michelle) Buttino and Francis Buttino; grandfather of Elizabeth “Elise”, Christopher, Nathan and Shane Buttino; loving son of the late Michael J. and Rose A. (Zigrossi) Buttino; also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who were fortunate to know him.

Michael was a proud retired New York State safety inspector, a former member of the Erie County Emergency Services Haz Mat team, and volunteer firefighter. Michael’s greatest pride and joy was his family and his beloved Eggertsville Hose Company, which he served for more than 43 years.

Family and friends are invited to attend A Celebration of Life Gathering, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Eggertsville Hose Company, 1880 Eggert Rd., Amherst, NY.
