Of South Buffalo, NY, passed away after a long battle and recent illness. Beloved wife of almost 52 years to Michael J. Wade; loving mom to Michele Wade (James Bausch), Matthew (Julie) Wade and Jennifer Wade (Dean Powers); best grandma to the “Lucky Seven”- Jaycie, Conor, Gretchen, Owen, Daniella, Lennon and Liam; favorite human to all of her granddogs; daughter of the late James A. and Margaret M. (Sullivan) Sheehan; dearest sister of Ann (Dan) Devlin, Mary (Charlie) Moore, Susan Kolasz, Thomas (Kathy) Sheehan, Paul (Lauren) Sheehan, Joy (John) Kubiak and the late James P. (Valorie) Sheehan; dear sister-in-law to Pete Wade (Jude Hinton) and the late Raymond Wade; aunt, cousin and friend to many. Family and friends will be present Monday, September 21, 2026 from 3-7 PM at the CASTIGLIA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 873 Abbott Rd., South Buffalo, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Charity Parish, (St. Ambrose Worship Site), 65 Ridgewood Rd., South Buffalo, NY, Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 9:30 AM. (Please assemble at church). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. A life-long South Buffalo girl, Peggy was a graduate of St. Martin’s and Victory Academy. She had an early career with the FBI, devoted her time and energy to the school and parish of St. Tommy’s and dedicated twenty-two years to the Buffalo Board of Education before retirement. She became a runner in mid-life and could often be found supporting local races as well as other community activities. Peggy enjoyed her chicken wings, traveling, watching the Bills and Sabres games and hanging with her Sunday Funday crew. She will be remembered for her small stature and big heart.
