SPEAR - Leland "Lee" Leland was born on Oct. 20, 1939, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to Harlan and Ruth Spear. He had two sisters and two brothers. After high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-64. A few years later, he began a lifelong career of long distant semi-truck driving, including years of driving doubles during the "steel era." He won numerous awards including Best Driver of the Year, and one for Safest Driver. Lee married Delores "Dee" in 1978. They settled in Jamestown, N.Y., and worshiped at New Covenant Assembly Church on Arlington St., in Jamestown, for over 40 years. Delores preceded him in entering Heaven in 2017. Lee's health deteriorated until he finally joined Delores in Heaven in 2021. Left behind was Dick Spear, Lee's son, in whom he was very proud; three daughters, Bonnie Danielson, Jan Lippert and Deb Perkins; grandchildren, Delon, Tammy, Chris, Sabrina, Tom, Amanda and Michael. We miss you so much but now you know you and mom are complete once again and we know we'll all be together when our Blessed God says so.
