(Susan) Merrick, Maria C. (John Fereira) Morog, Julia F. (Johann Studier) Morog, Edward F. (Stephanie) Haley and Katherine R. Haley (Gavin) Webb. Great-grandmother of 18 and great-great-grandmother of 2. Predeceased by her brothers John (late Anne) Stefan and Michael (late Mitzi) Stefan. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 2-5 PM at the CUSACK FUNERAL HOME, 873 Abbott Rd., South Buffalo, NY, (716) 828-1846, (same location as Castiglia Funeral Home, Inc.) where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 9:30 AM and from Our Lady of Bistrica Church, 1619 Abbott Rd., Lackawanna, NY, at 10 AM. Our matriarch was a most impressive woman. By whatever name she's been called: Mummy, Grandmere, Aunt Jo; she has been much loved and greatly admired. She described herself as "old school," and believed in integrity, honesty, and looking fabulous. She will be remembered for her generosity, her vitality, and her punctuality. She loved her books on tape, especially mysteries - which she could always solve, and looked forward to her bingo evenings (with an occasional win). She also loved to bake. Her Croatian pastries were without peer and she loved to share them with family and friends. She was blessed with a long life, and we were blessed by her example - that every stage of life can be beautiful.
