(Kimberly) Travis; grandfather of Tyler, Ryan, Austin, Colby, Jake and Connor; loving son of the late John S. and Dorothy C. (Robinson) Travis; brother of Peggy (Bill) Riter and Michael (Sue) Travis; also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. After basic training, he was sent to Lackland Air Force Base, Texas to train as a Sentry Dog Handler, Air Policeman. John served his nation for 4 years on active duty, with a 12 month tour of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on October 12, 1966 at Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, California, with his reserve obligations ending on August 14, 1968. For his service John was awarded; Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device.
