Beloved son of the late Pietro and Josephine (nee Gagliano) Di Giacomo; former husband of Phyllis Di Giacomo; father of Jerry Di Giacomo, Jr., Joseph Di Giacomo and Josette (David) Zinzola; loving grandfather of Lauren Di Giacomo, Rachel Di Giacomo, Christian Di Giacomo, Joseph Zinzola, Juliana Zinzola and Giavona Zinzola. No prior visitation. A private memorial will be held. A Sicilian immigrant, Jerry arrived in America at age 11. Grew up on Buffalo's West Side, became a barber at age 18 and lived the American Dream, purchasing his own business. He married his childhood sweetheart, Phyllis. While raising his family, he became a passionate real estate investor, while barbering for over 40 years. He was a loving friend to many, and was known as a landlord with a heart. He was an usher at Resurrection R.C. Church for many years. He was a talented bowler, well into his 70's. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in his memory to Sisters of Charity End of Life Care.
