AUNGST - Janice M. (nee McCombs) Of East Aurora, January 27, 1929 to May 21, 2022. Janice Grace McCombs Aungst, of East Aurora, died on May 21, 2022, at age 93. She was an extraordinary woman who loved life and left the world a better place. Her beloved husband of 59 years, Arthur S. Aungst, Jr., died in 2009. She also survived her parents, Walter and Grace McCombs, and her brothers, Walter and Chuck. She is survived by her brother, Jimmy McCombs (Cinda); and sisters-in-law, Jewel Wink, Audrey McCombs and Liz Aungst; her loving children, Cheryl Karpowicz (Ron), Art Aungst (Babette), Laurie Parafinczuk (Gary), Nancy Aungst (John Conroy), Karen Thomas (Kevin Curthoys), Brian Aungst (Diana Miller), and Bruce Aungst; her beloved grandchildren, Jessica Weitzel (Jason), Judd Aungst (Colleen), Molly Aungst, Rebecca Aungst, Ron Karpowicz (Alyx), Scott Karpowicz (Ashley), Justin Parafinczuk (Lisa), Jenna Parafinczuk, John Parafinczuk (Jentry), Peter Thomas (Angelica), Marissa Brisbane (Dave), Jillian Thomas, Anna Thomas, Sean Conroy, and 13 great-grandchildren. She loved every one of her many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many in the community. No prior visitation. A service will be held on Saturday, May 28th at 10 AM, at the First Presbyterian Church of East Aurora to commemorate her long and happy life.
