Of South Buffalo, NY. Beloved husband of Bernadine J. (Trafalski) Snusz; dearest father of Christopher M. (Renna) and Michael E. Snusz, Jason M. (Zipporah) Snusz; grandfather of Haley, CJ, Elliott, Noah, Millie and Emmett; loving son of the late Edward and Mary (Tessman) Snusz; brother of the late Edward (Gertrude) Snusz; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be present Monday, August 24, 2026 from 3-7 PM at the CUSACK FUNERAL HOME, 873 Abbott Rd., South Buffalo, NY, (same location as Castiglia Funeral Home, Inc.) (716) 828-1846, where a Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 9:15 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Charity Parish (St. Ambrose Worship Site) at 10:00 AM. Private Interment Western New York National Cemetery. Mr. Snusz was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era where he received expert and sharpshooter marksmanship awards. He entered the U.S. Army on October 10, 1963, serving his nation for 23 months active duty trained as a Military Policeman (MOS 95B10). His last duty station was at U.S. Army Element Command, Sandia Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Snusz was honorably discharged on October 8, 1965 with reserve obligation terminating on October 9, 1969. For his service, he was awarded; Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Expert Badge - Rifle (M-14) and Sharpshooters Badge - Pistol (.45). He was a baseball enthusiast who was inducted into the 1987 WNY Softball Hall of Fame. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed bowling and in his retirement playing the game of golf. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Buffalo, Inc. or the Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue.
