WILLIS - Debra Lee (nee Smith) Cherished retired teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully October 13, 2024 surrounded by her family, leaving behind a rich legacy of love and service. Born on December 10, 1958 to the late John and Carole Smith, Debra was the devoted wife of Dennis Willis for 47 beautiful years and was a steadfast support to her children, Kristin (Dominic) and Sean (Victoria). She found immense joy as a grandmother to Zachary (Chloe), Taylor (Jade), Madelyn, Dominic Jr, Aliyah, Krystiana, and Micah. She loved many other bonus kids and grandkids as her own, with her affection knowing no bounds. She was a beloved daughter-in-law to the Gertrude (late Edward) Willis, loved sister of Laura (Parker), Barbara (Jeff), Cara (Tony), and Lisa (late Joseph), as well as her sisters-in-law, Dianne (Rick) and Dawn (Paul). Debra's memory will also be cherished by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless special friends. Debra was an active member of Revive Wesleyan Church for over 30 years, where she shared her faith and formed lasting connections extending worldwide. In addition to her teaching career at Blasdell Elementary School, she had a passion for traveling across the world on many mission trips, and exploring new destinations with her husband on their motorcycle. A devoted follower of the Lord, Debra spread joy and compassion, sharing her love of God with everyone she met. She always took the time to stop whatever she was doing--no matter where she was--to pray for family, friends, and even strangers. Debra will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she impacted. A celebration of her life will take place at Revive Wesleyan Church of Hamburg at: 4999 McKinley Parkway, Hamburg, NY, (DOORS 6&7). All are invited to honor her memory and express their joy in remembrance of the difference she made in this world. Visitation with the family will begin at Revive Wesleyan Church of Hamburg at 9:30 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2024. This will be followed by a Celebration Service of Debra's Life at 11 AM. Immediately after, there will be a time of fellowship and snacks where family and friends will be invited to share their memories of Debra.
