JACOBUS - Barbara Frances June 16, 1949 - August 5, 2025 Barbara Frances Jacobus, born on June 16, 1949, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, in Buffalo, NY, surrounded by love and comfort. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and cherished friend, Barbara touched the hearts of all who knew her. Barbara was raised in Big Flats, NY, the only daughter of the late Walter A. Jacobus and Frances E. Jacobus. She graduated from Horseheads High School in 1968 and went on to attend beauty school, becoming a full-time stylist at Ken's Hair Styling in Big Flats. Later, she transitioned into healthcare, working as a medical clerk at United Cerebral Palsy of WNY, where she remained until her retirement in 2005. Following retirement, Barbara relocated to the Buffalo area to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Sara) Mochrie, Timothy (Theresa) Mochrie, Andrew (Nicole) Mochrie, and Katie (Andrew) Lipinoga. They were the center of her world. Nothing brought her greater joy than watching them grow and create families of their own. Her beloved grandchildren: Dylan, Bianca, Abby, Emma, Alex, Charlotte, and Vinny were her pride and joy. She was delighted in every moment spent with them, especially when she could spoil them with ice cream and jelly beans. Barbara is also survived by her loving brothers and their wives, James (Cathie) Jacobus and Phillip (Teresa) Jacobus. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor Barbara's memory - her quick wit, strong spirit, and deep love for her family.
